So I am just about 2 weeks late...
We had a fun filled Fourth of July with Grammy and Gramps at Callaway. Gracie is all about riding her 2 wheeler now that she finally can. So we packed up the bikes, the 2 meals of picnics (because I knew we needed to get there early to commandeer the spot), the sparklers, a table and chairs, the kitchen sink etc. It was a beautiful day! After miscommunicating with Dad and Chad and only having 1 cell phone amongst 4 adults, we spend most of the afternoon running around going, "well, now we have to go over ______ to get the __________ before we can go do _____fun thing. And no Grant, you can't go swimming right now!" It was a typical 4th of July! Mom and Dad rented bikes and the kids and I went for a ride with them while Chad drove to pick us up from the bike drop off. Well, we took one important wrong turn and ended up on the main drag of Callaway Gardens. Oops! That was a little stressful. Then we went back and were able to play for awhile and eat our broken watermelon (It had fallen out of the back of my car and broke in half).

Then around 5 our babysitter friend Ashley Pilcher be bopped by with her boogy board. She works at Callaway as a ski instructor. Gracie LOVES Ashley and she missed saying hi to her so I took her down to the dock to say hi. Well, Miss Ashley took Gracie and I for a ride on the fancy boat while she did tricks on her boogy board. Gracie and I both thought that was very cool!
Too bad right before the fireworks were to begin it began to storm. So we ran for the truck and laughed at the idiots through the storm. We waited it out and were able to see the fireworks. Check out Gracie's curls - it was just a little humid!
