The Hike was wonderful. It was great weather and I was overwhelmed with the feelings after meeting people who are living this strange life that we are. We had an eclectic team. The Rudders, Myhands, Joni, Paige and Avery, and Stephanie and Jonathan with their co-worker John. I think that they all left knowing more about LCH and really felt a bit of what it is like. I don't want to speak for them, but I don't think that they anticipated having those feelings. Joni rode up with the kids and I in the car and Chad flew in later. We had a fun road trip! I didn't get any pictures of the Myhands, Rudders and Joni hiking, but I promise they were there and it was wonderful to have them! I will say it was one of the most challenging physical thing I have ever done. You know I am not a big exerciser, but even those that are said it was tough. Tracy Brown has always said that the reason we hike is because we can associate hiking with this disease. We can relax on the downhill, but you never know what is around the next bend and it is a constant challenge.
Can't wait for next year!
