The boy's faith

I've been thinking about putting Grant into a local christian school. And he is up for the idea because his cousins go to a private school and he thinks everything they do is awesome. But my reasoning for this is that I really feel there is something in him that needs to be nurtured. I'm not going so far as to say a "calling" or a "gift" but he is BY FAR the most faithful of our family. Yes, he is 9 and more faithful than me. Sad, I know.  If we have a lazy Sunday morning, he cries and begs to go to church. He reminds Chad and I daily of our "loser-ness" by asking us to please pray with him before bed and do his devotion. Not only that, he begs that BOTH of us come do this with him. While this is annoying when I am busy, it's a quick reality check when he says, "Mom will you please come too so we can pray as a family?"
We still haven't found a church home after nearly 3 years of searching in SC. We all miss St. Mark, but Grant speaks of it almost daily. He says he misses specific things, like the kneeling benches, or the Hawaiian communion bread, the basketball game in Aimee's office, and ALWAYS Wednesday night supper. Yesterday was Ash Wednesday and I know he asked me 10 times if we were going to church. I don't think any of the churches we have visited have a service, and I know that it wouldn't be what he was expecting if they did.
Aimee posted this picture last night of Grant's buddies praying together at the Ash Wednesday service. He loves these boys and this place. But it struck me even more so thinking about his tender heart. We all love these little guys and their families. Gracie grew up at the church even more so than Grant did (not that her faith isn't important to her, it is. But Grant is just different about it).

So it isn't the people, or the time spent there, or really even the place. I am thankful that his faith was sparked at St. Mark, but it wasn't anything magic about St. Mark or our constant presence there for his first 7 years, it is about God touching his heart. How cool is that?
Not sure what the plan is for our little faithful dude, but I know it is a special one. Don't think it will be a christian school though since the tax man came a'callin' :(
